None of this would be possible without Ben!!!

My transformation is honestly a testament to Ben and everything he's doing, helping so many of us, LITERALLY CHANGING LIVES!!! Not only am I changing physically but mentally I'm stronger than ever before, all because of Ben.

I've said this a million times before, Ben is such an inspiration to me and really my hero!  This first photo was taken the 6th May 2018 and the second was 5 months later!! And more than anything in the world if I can do it, anyone can.

I really will never be able to repay you Ben but all I can say is, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

I did my first bootcamp on July 6th and I was really nervous. I’d seen the videos but it’s never quite the same as doing it yourself. When I first started going I couldn’t do a single push up or hold a plank for more than about 3 seconds! But it didn’t matter.

Ben makes you feel so at ease, praises every small achievement and makes you feel proud of yourself for making through the session. I’ve dropped 1 nearly 2 dress sizes on my top and 1 size on my bottom and I know it’ll continue to slowly come off.

But the biggest change has got to be in my head. I was sooooooo miserable with my life when I first joined up. It took about 4 weeks of me messaging Ben before I finally got the courage up to go. But now I feel so much happier in myself. The bootcamp has grown into a family and everyone is so supportive.

Ben is always there if you need a pep talk and gives you unless encouragement and support. I truly believe Ben and his bootcamps have pulled me well and truly out of the ditch my life had crashed into and I will be forever grateful and am now a bootcamp addict.

I originally joined Ben’s Bootcamp to lose some weight before my holiday. I spend most days sitting at a desk and I was starting to feel unhappy with how I looked and felt uncomfortable in everything I wore.

So far I’ve lost 10lbs.

What I didn’t expect though, was for all the things that I would gain.

Not only are the bootcamps a great workout, they are honestly the best start to my day. I’ve made so many lovely, like-minded friends there too and I really feel as if I’m starting out on a whole new personal journey.

I've always enjoyed trying different types of exercise and being outdoors and exercising in a group so when my friend suggested going along to bootcamp I was keen. At the time I had just been thrown one of life's little blows so wasn't feeling particularly up for it but when I drove away from my first session I noticed I felt a little more upbeat about everything, so I went back again, and again and again...each time I drove away I felt a little more weight lift off my shoulders as well as from around my waist!

The friendly, positive vibes created by Ben along with the exercises are better than anything else I could have done to get to out of the slump I was in. Bootcamp has been a turning point for me.

Hearing Ben's story really put things into perspective and was an inspiration. I'm now happier and fitter than ever and have got a great group of new friends to go with it and that's all thanks to Ben and his determination to help as many people as possible with their fitness journey.

I have been to a couple of bootcamps in the past which have been ok, but I didn’t find them particularly motivating. When Ben’s bootcamp appeared in my Facebook feed I was intrigued as it looked like he offered a bit more than just a bootcamp, and I was right.

I started attending the sessions in May, I think it was his second week of running them, and I wasn’t disappointed. It is essentially circuit training, but Ben changes the circuit each session. The difference I found with this bootcamp is that there is high energy music pumping out which makes you feel more motivated naturally.

As part of the bootcamp sessions, Ben offers a diet plan and a Facebook group, which keeps us entertained! There are no egos at the sessions and it has become like a community, so if you haven’t got anyone to go with you will be fine to go alone, there are always people there to buddy up with. It isn’t about how many reps you can do or how fast you can go round the exercises, it is about focusing on your form to achieve maximum results.

I try and go as regularly as I can, but try to do at least 2 sessions a week which has paid off, as since starting I have lost 15 pounds and 6 inches from my waist.

The 80s and 90s week was brilliant and people entered into the fun by dressing up too! Looking forward to seeing the next theme! So if you are looking for a fun exercise class that is a little bit different come along and try Ben’s Bootcamp – you won’t be disappointed!

So the last 4 years have been difficult for me. My confidence was at rock bottom. I only come to bootcamp once a week but you would not believe how much this has helped me go from someone who wouldn't leave the house to where I am at now.

I have already managed to lose half a stone but the positive vibes Ben gives us all is amazing and his story is so inspirational. I truly look forward to bootcamp as its my time to work on me instead of being a mum or working. I know if I need advice that you and the whole bootcamp team are there to support us all.

Being a 32 year old who has literally never done any fitness training or been to a gym I was originally very sceptical about working out in a field with people I have never met before.

I have been doing it for 6 weeks now and I was totally wrong to be sceptical! I go to every session I can and I love it, Ben is incredible at motivating and encouraging everyone,

Everybody there is on their own personal mission and it’s great to see people of every fitness level, shape, size and age.

DISCOVER MY RATHER STRANGE STORY:

FROM BROKEN NECK TO HEALTH AND FITNESS SUCCESS...

It all started when I nearly died in a car accident where the driver of a Lamborghini lost control and hit a tree (I was the passenger). I broke and dislocated my neck and I had a huge operation to fuse c3/c4 in my neck with a metal plate and pins.  I was very close to being paralysed or actually losing my life.

During my 2 year recovery I put on a lot of weight and became very depressed. I was not in a good place. I was on anti-depressants, it was dark.

One day I saw myself on the TV. I didn't recognise myself. That's when I knew something had to be done. I tried lots of different fad diets, but couldn't find anything that actually worked long term.

One day to my surprise my fiancé left me and I became a full time single Dad to my two daughters. That was the catalyst...

Since then I focussed entirely on living a healthy lifestyle to constantly improve myself for my daughters and I am proud to say that it worked and I'm now in the fortunate position to help others as a qualified personal trainer.

I lost over 82lbs/5.7 stone and I am now on a fitness mission to get in the best shape I possibly can to inspire others. I am documenting my healthy lifestyle through social media with the hope to motivate others to change their lives too.

My life's been a tough one but since transforming my body everything changed for me and as a qualified level 3 personal trainer I am now in the fortunate position to help others.

In my first 4 months as a personal trainer I have done over 2000 individual boot camp sessions and 2 fitness festivals!

My personal health and fitness journey has not been easy.  I’ve struggled with my weight and body image since I was a teenager but the long term issues started 18 years ago after the birth of my daughter; where my weight peaked at over 100kgs (over 15 stone).  This was due to a combination of excess baby weight but also due to my state of mind, having become a single mum when my daughter was only 6 months old.  Without boring you with all the details and fast forward to now, my body weight and fitness levels fluctuated continuously since then with many losses (my lowest being 75kgs, or 11 stones) but also similarly, many gains!   Whilst I've always been mindful of eating healthy and knowing the importance of exercise, my association with food and emotions, life and many excuses always got in the way - as too, the dreaded “lazitis syndrome” we human sloths seem to get!!  Unfortunately, my weight sky-rocketed back to 86kgs (over 13 stones) towards the end of 2017 and with the realisation I was turning 40 in 2019 and unhappy in my own skin, I knew something had to be done!

As with all “New Year” intentions, 2018 was the year this change was going to happen and I did make a start; however winter hit and so did the excuses!  Looking on Facebook during one of my lazitis peaks, I stumbled across an advert for Ben's Bootcamp; which was due to start in May. I toyed with the idea for 2 weeks as I was plagued with self-confidence issues and the fear of rejection / not fitting in with those attending; but I decided to bite the bullet and made the decision to download the Gymcatch app and join in.  My first session at the beginning of June was nerve-racking as I didn’t know anyone at all but my fears were soon put to rest by Ben’s welcoming smile and reassurance that the session was about “You versus You” and you could go at your own pace.

The session was tough but I loved it!  I returned for the following session and have continued my quest with Ben’s Bootcamp (and other fitness adventures, one being FitFest South) since then.  To fill the void of when Bootcamp isn’t on (I’m telling you now, the addiction is real!), I’ve made time out of my busy life to do exercises at home and I am now gradually adding gym essentials to the shed outside to be used throughout the year!

Can I show you an amazing before and after photo? Did I wake up with an 8-pack after my first session? Have I lost all the weight I want? Without photo-shopping some sexy model onto my face - absolutely not! (although in my head I dreamt I had!).  But what I can say is that after 3 months of attending Ben's sessions 3 times a week as well as doing workouts at home, my state of mind regarding fitness and healthy eating has improved.  My body has started to make the right steps towards positive changes; converting fat into muscle and adding shape and tone. I can now do 40 secs on the battleropes when I couldn't even do it for 10 secs! I've even recently managed to do 5, slow but surely push-ups from my toes rather than on my knees and I'm pleased to say I can do push-up burpees as well as many other things I’ve struggled to accomplish over the years.  This may not seem a lot to some but to me, these small accomplishments is a big deal as it shows my fitness levels have improved!!

Ben and his dream to create his Bootcamp has reinvigorated my desire to get fit and healthy.  His support and his energy during Bootcamp sessions keep me pumped and makes me want to challenge myself at each session. His own personal journey has inspired and motivated me to jump on the fitness train and do something about the excess baggage I've carried around with me these past 18 years; not just physical baggage but mental baggage as well. He has reminded me that it takes time, committment and effort to build a healthy body - not just for tomorrow but for life! His honest and transparent approach to his life demonstrates that he does practice what he preaches and seeing the transformation he has had in his life, is affirmation that results are possible. What Ben has created is more than just a Bootcamp session – he has created a family and a community of people supporting each other to achieve the best they can for their own personal fitness journey.  He has helped me more than he realises and I feel privileged to know him and be part of his dream; watching it grow to the size it is today.

Am I glad I went along? Most definitely!! The only regret I have is not starting sooner!!  The last 3 months has not only been about me getting fit, but it has also been about the friendships and family community that has been forged in the process. It's the spirit and connectivity with other likeminded individuals that keeps me coming back - the bonus is the added health and fitness improvements I've experienced!  I have a long journey ahead of me but I know my mind is in a better place to achieve the results I’m after and it is because of Ben’s dream and vision to share his fitness journey with others that this is a possibility.”
